Wrigley Done Right: The ultimate rooftop experience - Click for tickets

Wrigley Field Rooftops Directory

Welcome to TheCubdom.com's Wrigley Field Rooftop directory. (We are not an official site, and have never made any claims of neutrality. We have always stated clearly on this page that the author has not visited all of the rooftops. We do accept advertising, and are willing to present additional photos and text for our sponsors.)

There are 17 buildings with rooftop views, where proprietors sell tickets to see the game. A few years ago, these rooftops entered into a revenue sharing program with the Cubs, and are now considered 'official Cubs rooftop partners.'

Aerial map of Wrigley Field and the Cubs Rooftop partners

The information found on this page is mainly a result of several years of observing the rooftops from afar, plus communications directly with the rooftop owners, and some paid 'advertorials'. The aerial 'map' above allows you to see the layout of the rooftops around the park, so, scroll down the page and read about them all. (Please note that I update this page sporadically, and the best source of information about each rooftop is the individual rooftops. So, check with the individual rooftops before relying on any of the information on this page. Finally, please note I have not been up on top of all of them, so the coverage is a little uneven.)

3639 Wrigley Rooftop at 3639 N. Sheffield Ave

3639 Wrigley Rooftop is located on Sheffield Ave and is situated right inside of second base (between first and second.) I haven't been up there, but it appears to be a pretty good building, and they were were featured in Sporting News August 07' issue as "Best of the Best Seats in Sports."

The building was rehabbed a few years ago and comes with all the expected amenities like air conditioning and heat, an elevator, and a 200 person capacity. In the past, 3639 has sold rooftop tickets for both small groups (like 2 people) as well as larger groups (up to 200 I suppose).

As another plus, I've traded emails with the owners before and they are nice people! Please check with 3639 Wrigley Rooftop for information on rooftop ticket prices and availability.

Brixen Ivy was built in 2000, and is situated beyond the left field wall at Wrigley. I believe they have a third floor balcony/indoor area as you can often see people enjoying the game from the balcony. On the rooftop, they have bleachers and a BBQ pit.

Although I've never been atop the HMS Brixen Ivy, I would not hesitate to do so. It always looks like the folks are having fun, and my personal interactions with the owners have always been quite cordial. Please check with Brixen Ivy for information on rooftop ticket prices and availability.

Lake View Baseball Club

3633 N. Sheffield Avenue

The Lake View Baseball Club, 3633 Sheffield Ave

The Lakeview Baseball Club is home to the famous Eamus Catuli sign. (Eamus Catuli is latin for Let's go Whelps... but essentially means, Go Cubs!). The other sign (in this picture as AC0063100) stands for Ano Catuli 00 63 100. Ano Catuli means, "In the year of the Cub" the first two digits are how long it's been since the Cubs won a division title. The second set of two digits are for how long it's been since the Cubs won the NL Pennant, and the final numbers (now three digits) are for how long it's been since the Cubs won the World Series.

Unlike the other rooftops, The Lakeview Baseball Club is a private club, and so guests may need to join the club to purchase rooftop tickets, but in return the ticket prices may be lower than the other rooftops.

The Lakeview Baseball club is located next door to the building with the Miller Lite billboard. I've also traded emails with owners/operators of this rooftop, and they were quite pleasant. Please check with the Lake View Baseball Club for information on rooftop ticket prices and availability.

Murphy’s Bleachers

3649 N. Sheffield Avenue

Murphy's Bleachers, 3649 Sheffield Ave

Murphy's rooftop is located beyond the right center field wall and has the smallest capacity of all the rooftops. This makes it an ideal location for small groups looking to book an entire rooftop for their use. I've never been up on the rooftop, but I've thrown a few back at Murphy's bar next door, and I've always had fun there.

The Murphy's rooftop building is the one with the light-up Harry Caray and is one of the more attractive buildings to look at, IMHO. Please check with Murphy's Bleachers for information on rooftop ticket prices and availability.

Wrigleyville Rooftops at 1032 W. Waveland Ave.

Wrigleyville Rooftops, which I think is affiliated with the Cubby Bear, but I'm not sure, has three rooftop buildings. One building, 1032 W. Waveland, is located in left field, next to the former Budweiser Building (I guess it would now be called the "Horseshoe Casino building"). The other two buildings are on Sheffield. The 3643 N. Sheffield building is located between Murphy's Bleachers and 3639 Wrigley Rooftop. The final building, 3609 N. Sheffield, is fairly new and is wedged into the right field foul territory.

Rooftop by the Firehouse

Rooftop by the Firehouse at 1050 W. Waveland

1050 W. Waveland Ave

The "Rooftop by the Firehouse" was built in 1999. It is located next door to the famous and historic Wrigleyville Firestation, so the view is from left field foul territory. I've never been up there to see a game, but I think it would be fun.

I can remember when the building was constructed. That summer, WGN kept showing all the construction workers taking breaks to watch the game. It always made me jealous, and the building is very beautiful, it has these turquoise blue highlights that completely pop out at the eye. I think it's the nicest looking building of all the rooftops. Another nice thing is that you could chat with the firemen next door who sit out on a bench and watch the folks playing catch on Waveland during the game. Please check with the Rooftop by the Firehouse for information on rooftop ticket prices and availability.
